Warrington Wolves have signed Huddersfield Giants (Grand Final Winner – Warrington 25/1, Huddersfield 10/1) centre Jake Wardle on loan for the rest of the season with Toby King moving in the opposite direction.
Wardle, fresh from a try-scoring debut with England against the Combined Nations All Stars in last week’s 18-4 win, has scored 22 tries in 62 appearances for the Giants and will now link up with Daryl Powell’s (pictured) Wire.
King moves in the opposite direction with the deal set to be reviewed at the end of the season.
Warrington are currently eighth in the Betfred Super League standings following a tricky start to the season but they did secure an additional and important win on Friday night as they defeated Hull FC 4-0 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Powell has come under fire from fans but the win will have alleviated some pressure and 23-year-old Wardle will be viewed as a marquee addition.

He has been one of Huddersfield’s shining lights this season, though he did not feature in their Challenge Cup final loss against Wigan Warriors.
And, former Castleford Tigers coach Powell says Wardle will be a key addition to the group.
“The Toby King and Jake Wardle swap deal was one that came up pretty quickly,” Powell said.
“We are looking to build a really exciting outside back division, with youth and pace as a central point of that. Jake fits that bill perfectly, alongside the quality outside backs coming through at the club already.”
King, also a centre, moves on from the club he began his career with back in 2014.
The 25-year-old has made 138 appearances for the Wolves, scoring 52 tries in that time.
However, he has only appeared six times this season and moves to his hometown club to bolster their back line, with the Giants in action at Hull KR on Sunday (Match Betting – Hull KR 10/11, Huddersfield Giants EVS, tie 18/1).
