Championship Betting Odds: R’s braced for hostile London derby

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Warburton expects a tough test when his side make the trip to Millwall on Tuesday (Match betting – Millwall 29/20, Draw 21/10, QPR 21/10).

The R’s head to the Den in one of three 19:45 games scheduled in the Championship on Tuesday.

Warburton’s side currently sit fourth and are well in the mix for a playoff spot, despite winning just one of their last five outings.

They have lost two of their last three fixtures, including a defeat to rock-bottom Barnsley on Saturday, and they face another tough assignment when they travel to face Millwall on Tuesday.

Millwall are unbeaten in three at home and Warburton is under no illusions as to the task that awaits his side.

“It’s a tough test, have no doubt about that,” Warburton said.

“Millwall have an experienced, settled squad and a good manager in Gary Rowett. So we know what we face. The Den is a great place to play football but it’s an intimidating atmosphere.

“We’ll prepare for them and respect them – but we have to show what we’re about as well.”

Sheffield United host Hull City (Match betting – Sheffield United 8/15, Draw 16/5, Hull 11/2) as the Blades look to continue their resurgence under Paul Heckingbottom.

Sheffield United are unbeaten in six, winning four and drawing two, and they are just three points adrift of the playoff places.

Hull, meanwhile, have lost three in a row but they have a 12-point buffer to the drop zone and look set to avoid an immediate return to the third-tier.

Cardiff will attempt to continue building momentum on home soil when Coventry make the trip to south Wales (Match betting – Cardiff 19/10, Draw 9/4, Coventry 6/4).

The Bluebirds have won back-to-back games on their own patch, beating Peterborough and Nottingham Forest, while their visitors are out of sorts.

Coventry have slipped to 12th after winning just two of their last five in the league, however, they have games in hand on most teams above them and could still mount a playoff push if they recover quickly.

There’s also action in League One and League Two on Tuesday six games taking place across the two divisions.

League One promotion hopefuls Wigan halted a three-game winless streak when beating Charlton on Saturday and they’ll be eager to build on that when they host Crewe (Match betting – Wigan 1/3, Draw 4/1, Crewe 15/2).

Three promotion contenders will attempt to strengthen their position in League Two with Tranmere, Exeter and Sutton featuring.

Tranmere, who sit second, head to Hartlepool, fourth-placed Exeter play host to Harrogate and fifth-placed Sutton take on Bristol Rovers.
