Defending champion Mark Selby will take on Jordan Brown in round one of the European Masters on Tuesday (Selby 2/9, Brown 3/1 – Match Winner) after the top seed overcame Matthew Selt 5-3 in qualifying on Monday.

Englishman Selby, who was crowned champion for the second time in the last edition of the European Masters, was given a stern examination against Selt in qualifying and had found himself 1-0 down early on, with his opponent making a brilliant century in the first frame.

The Englishman won this tournament back in 2003, overcoming Stephen Hendry in the final, and he is the firm 1/10 favourite to advance into the second round, while Anda is priced at 11/2 to cause an upset.

O’Sullivan has won the two previous meetings against his Chinese foe, chalking up 4-0 and 4-1 victories, and Betfred are offering 7/2 on the six-time world champion to record a 5-0 whitewash.
