Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden says his side cannot afford to overlook Tottenham on Saturday when the two teams meet in the Premier League (Man City 3/10, draw 5/1, Tottenham 10/1 – Match Betting).
The Citizens have a nine-point advantage at the top of the Premier League table, but second-placed Liverpool do have a game in hand on their rivals.
While City are cruising at the top, Tottenham’s top-four hopes are fading away under Antonio Conte (Spurs 7/2 to finish in the top four).
The Italian has seen his side lose their last three Premier League matches, and they are now seven points behind Manchester United, who occupy fourth spot.
Conte has criticised the club’s transfer plan in January, but Foden says his side cannot afford to get involved in the mind games, and he is expecting a huge response from the London club.

Foden told the club’s official website: “I don’t think form matters in the Premier League at any time.
“Especially with the players they have got, they have got so many great talents.
“It is going to be a really challenging game, and I don’t think you can really look at form coming into a game. I don’t think it matters at all.”
City boss Pep Guardiola expects Jack Grealish to miss out again due to a shin injury, which has caused him to miss the club’s previous two games.
Striker Gabriel Jesus and midfielder Cole Palmer will also miss out through injury, but Spurs have been given an injury boost ahead of kick-off.
Eric Dier, who has missed the last three games with a thigh problem, is due to return, but Conte is without Oliver Skipp, Japhet Tanganga and an unnamed player due to Covid-19.
