Horse racing odds – Day Two at Chester

Yesterday’s little appetiser didn’t in all candour quite go to plan, but undeterred, hopefully like Manchester City in time, we’ll go again.

Here’s the thing then – three horses to play in a *’Patent’ – 3 singles, 3 doubles, and a treble. So 7 elements to the bet all told, but remember, just the three selections.

Here’s today’s would-be superstars (fingers crossed).

1.30

5 furlongs for the flying machines, with a low draw a massive help. Course and distance form is a definite plus, too – so Look Out Louis has got plenty going for him.

Drawn in 3, excellent second at Newmarket last time, and a winner here on the Roodee last term. Julie Camacho’s experienced gelding can make all with a bit of luck here today.

2.05

7.5 furlongs this time – a warm handicap, and a great chance for Outgate, who could be an improving 3-yr-old and gets Ryan Moore up top, who made hay at Chester yesterday.

Another who ran a fine second at HQ last time, he’s drawn in the 1 box, and should go close.

2.40

The historic, Listed, Dee Stakes, run over 1m 2.5 f. Hugo Palmer’s 3-yr-old Mr McCann signed off last season with an emphatic win at Epsom over one mile and change, and is entered in the Cazoo Derby at that iconic track.

He’ll need to be taking this if that’s a realistic aim, but Michael Owen and his Manor House stables team love nothing more that a winner here on the Roodee.

Suggestion – £1 win *Patent on the above 3 selections, 7 bets, therefore £7 total stake.

Good luck!
