Premier League Betting Odds: 12/1 Saturday Footy Treble!

Not a great showing from us last week…

From being on the cusp of glory two weeks ago, our follow-up effort to land our second treble of the season well and truly fell flat on its face.

Spurs, Arsenal and Wigan all lost meaning we scored a measly none-out-of-three. Can’t get much worse can it? Famous last words…

Anyway, let’s see who we fancy this week.

Premier League Betting Odds

Arsenal vs Manchester United

Our first pick comes from the early kick-off at the Emirates between Arsenal and Man Utd.

Whilst this fixture doesn’t quite hold the same title significance it once did, this game is still hugely important in the context of this season. Both teams are still battling it out for that last Champions League spot.

United are three points behind both Arsenal and Spurs, although they’ve played a game more.

The Gunners come into this game having bounced back from a poor run of form with an emphatic over Chelsea in midweek, while United were thumped at Anfield, and have been underwhelming for most of the season it’s fair to say.

United were out of the top four race a few weeks ago, and were handed a lifeline with Spurs and Arsenal both dropping points in recent weeks, but we’ve yet to see a response from them.

That’s why we think Arsenal take the vital three points here at 21/20.

Leicester City vs Aston Villa

Our second pick comes from the King Power Stadium as Leicester host Aston Villa.

Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard will be familiar with each other by now, after several duels in the Old Firm Derby.

The Foxes will be disappointed to have dropped two points at Goodison Park in midweek, especially so late on, while Villa are looking to respond to a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Spurs.

A top-seven finish may be a write-off at this point for the Foxes, and Leicester fans may care more about their side’s Conference League fortunes heading into the final few weeks of the season, with the first leg of their semi-final with Roma taking place next Thursday.

From winning three in a row to suffering a four-game losing run in the Premier League, Villa are in danger of being dragged into a surprise fight for survival should their downward slump continue here. However, they are eight points clear of Burnley with a game in hand, so it would take something truly miraculous for Villa to go down.

That being said, Leicester come into the game in better form, so we’re siding with the Foxes at 9/5.

Norwich City vs Newcastle United

Our final pick comes from Carrow Road where Norwich will take on Newcastle.

The Canaries will no doubt have felt huge disappointment coming away from Old Trafford last weekend with nothing to show for their efforts, after coming from two goals down.

That fighting spirit is what has given Dean Smith’s side a slim chance of survival as they sit eight points Everton in 17th.

However, they have the second-worst home record in the Premier League this season, picking up just 12 points from 16 matches, and they will be facing a Newcastle team that is full of confidence.

Eddie Howe has done a brilliant job since his arrival, and the Magpies look a completely transformed outfit from the side that looked like they would be in the relegation battle come the end of the season.

Now, they sit 15 points clear of the drop zone, and will be looking up the table rather than down at this stage.

Newcastle come into this one having won their last three, so we fancy them here at 23/20.

Summary

Arsenal to beat Man Utd

Leicester to beat Aston Villa

Newcastle to beat Norwich
