Today’s Horse Racing Odds: Saturday 18th June

The final day of Royal Ascot will highlight a bumper Saturday of racing action across the UK and Ireland, with a total of eight meetings scheduled to take place.

Day five of the royal meeting in Berkshire will go to post between 14:30-18:10, with the feature race, the 16:20 Platinum Jubilee Stakes, benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ offer, meaning they are paying out five places instead of the usual three.

Home Affairs (2/1) could take some stopping in that Group 1 for Australian trainer Chris Waller, although there is likely to be a strong British challenge from the likes of Sacred (9/1) and Creative Force (11/1), while American hopes rest with Wesley Ward’s Campanelle (12/1).

The Platinum Jubilee Stakes is not the only race to benefit from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ offer at Royal Ascot, as that will also be available for the Wokingham Stakes at 17:00 – Silver Samurai (13/2) and Fresh (6/1) could be the main protagonists in that one.

Royal Ascot Betting Odds

Away from Royal Ascot, Saturday’s racing will begin with Ayr’s seven-race card from 13:14-16:54 – the feature race there being a Listed Fillies’ And Mares’ offering at 15:34, one of two races that will see Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer come into play.

Newmarket’s seven-race card will start hot on the heels of the action at Ayr, as they will go to post from 13:32-17:09, while Redcar will also stage seven races, beginning at 13:37 and concluding at 17:13.

Perth’s seven-race card will take place from 13:42-17:23, with the finale from the Scottish track seeing Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion come into play – Jim Goldie’s Pammi (11/4) could take some stopping in that one.

Saturday’s sole offering from Ireland will be Down Royal’s seven-race card from 14:00-17:40, with Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion being available for the races at 15:10, 16:25 and 17:05.

The evening action will get underway at Lingfield, with the opening 17:18 Classified Stakes benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ offer, while the finale in Surrey at 20:30 will see the ‘Extra Place’ promotion come into play.

Haydock’s six-race card will then conclude Saturday’s action from 18:00-20:45. Again Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion will be available on Merseyside for the races at 18:35 and 19:45.
