After the thrills and spills of Royal Ascot, it’s more of a serene Sunday with meetings from Worcester, Hexham and Pontefract.
The action at Worcester is first to get underway at 13:30 with the first of eight races from the Midlands venue.
In the fourth race at Worcester today, Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if Second’ promotion is running, and it’s a contest in which Nicky Henderson’s Chasamax (5/2 fav), who was a dual winner in 2021 over this 2m distance, is a lively candidate.
The seven-year-old also won at Ffos Las after a stewards’ enquiry last time out and he’s 2lb heavier as a result but he could still have the measure of his nine rivals.

Hexham’s seven-race card is due to start at 13:45 and the finale there today is at 17:00.
In the penultimate contest, at 16:25, Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion is available, paying out on three places, and Dolly Dancer (3/1) is expected to be in the mix. He caught the eye when scoring over 3m here two weeks ago and is looking to follow up this afternoon. Of the five remaining runners, Follow Your Arrow (6/4 fav) is also expected to lead the challenge.
Finally, Pontefract’s seven-race card is off at at 15:45 and finishes up after the 18:45 with the second race at 16:15 benefiting from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ promotion, paying four places instead of three at a fifth of the odds.
Mackenzie Rose (4/1) is expected to shine in this 11-strong affair after following up a second-place finish at this track with victory at Doncaster last time out. Of the rest, El Picador (7/1) also stands out as a potential winner after triumphing at Musselburgh (his second win there this season) in this Sunday Series a fortnight ago.
