Today’s Horse Racing Odds: Wednesday 4th May

There’s plenty of racing action to get enjoy on Wednesday, with six meetings taking place across the UK and Ireland at Newton Abbot, Chester, Kelso, Gowran Park, Fontwell and Kempton.

It’s Newton Abbot that gets us under way with an eight-race card between 13:15 and 17:05.

Betfred’s Super Extra Place offer is available for the Racing Partnership Trip Handicap Chase at 13:50, with Rougue Vif (7/4) earning many admirers going into this one but facing competition from the likes of Falco Blitz (5/2) and Eritage (3/1).

There’s plenty of talented runners heading to Chester this afternoon for seven races on the first day of their May Festival, which run from 13:30 to 16:45.

Betfred’s Extra Place promotion covers the 14:05 and the final race at 16:45 from Chester, in a contest that sees Paws For Thought (5/1) looking to impress on his debut outing for his new stable under trainer Donald McCain.

North of the border, racing from Kelso goes between 13:40 and 16:55 with a seven-race card, while Ireland’s only meeting of the day at Gowran Park offers up eight races from 16:50 to 20:20.

There’s seven races to come from Fontwell between 17:00 and 20:10, with the Extra Place offer covering both the 18:10 and 18:40.

Wednesday racing concludes with all-weather action from Kempton for a seven-race card between 17:30 and 20:30.
