Burkina prepare for Senegal test

Wednesday brings about the first semi-final of the Africa Cup of Nations as Burkina Faso and Senegal get ready to battle it out at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, Yaounde (Burkina Faso 9/2, Draw 2/1, Senegal 17/20 – Match Betting).

Both teams are aiming to win the trophy for the first time, with Burkina Faso finishing runner-up in 2013 while Senegal have finished second on two occasions, in 2002 and 2019.

The Stallions managed to overcome Tunisia 1-0 in the quarter-finals, having edged past Gabon on penalties in the last 16, while The Lions of Teranga defeated Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in their last-eight encounter.

After only scoring one goal in the group stage, Senegal have now found the back of the net five times in the knockout stages, having also beaten Cape Verde 2-0 in the last 16, and they appear to be hitting their stride at the right time.
