Manchester City (5/2 favs Champions League Outright) defender Joao Cancelo believes his side will have no problems coping with scrutiny as they travel to Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Tuesday.
City are hot favourites to win the match against the Portuguese (Match Betting – Sporting 10/1, draw 5/1, City 2/7) outfit with a lot of their focus now being placed on the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s (pictured) side are nine points clear at the top of the Premier League and only a seismic collapse will stop them from winning consecutive titles.
The Citizens are desperate to break their European duck this season after falling at the final hurdle back in May.
Kai Havertz’s goal saw them lose out to Chelsea in an all-Premier League clash at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto.

Now, they head back to Portugal looking to earn a positive result against Sporting, who finished second in their group, overcoming Borussia Dortmund by virtue of their superior head-to-head record.
City came out on top of Group A ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, scoring 18 goals in their six matches.
Speaking ahead of Tuesday’s trip, Cancelo insists his side has the right mentality in order to win the game.
“We’re a very strong team,” the Portuguese full-back said. “The players we have know how to deal with the pressure of getting to the Champions League final – but we are up against the best teams in Europe. We need to embrace pressure.
“This club deserves to win the Champions League. It’s what this club works towards. And it’s what we are trying to do this season.”
Guardiola confirmed that Jack Grealish would not be ready to face Sporting despite the fact he is improving after an injury, while Gabriel Jesus and Cole Palmer remain absent.
