New Everton boss Frank Lampard says he will be putting out a strong side when the Toffees host Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday (Everton 21/20, draw 23/10, Brentford 13/5 – Match Betting).
After spells at Derby County and Chelsea, former England midfielder Lampard was appointed as Rafael Benitez’s replacement at Goodison Park at the end of last month.
Lampard joined on transfer deadline day along with loan signings Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek, who may get their first outing for Everton this weekend.

Speaking about his selection to face Thomas Frank’s side, Lampard claimed that even if some youth players get a chance, it will still be a strong team that takes on Brentford.
He told reporters: “I’ll always play a strong team as I see it, and young players will get a chance when I see fit. They have to earn their chance. My priority is to get results.”
Lampard added: “Brentford are a well-constructed team, it will be a really tough match. We must focus on ourselves because we’re also a very good team.”
Meanwhile, Lampard confirmed another minor setback in striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s recovery from injury, and he won’t be in line for a return at the weekend.
“Dominic Calvert-Lewin picked up a small knock in the last game so won’t be available on Saturday,” Lampard said. “We hope he can be back for the games coming up.”
Everton return to Premier League action on Tuesday when they make the trip to a Newcastle United side, battling for their own survival in the top flight (Newcastle 6/4, draw 23/10, Everton 7/4 – Match Betting).
