Today’s Horse Racing Odds: Saturday 29th January

There is a bumper Saturday of racing action to look forward to across the UK and Ireland, with the highlight coming from Cheltenham where Festival Trials Day will be taking place.

In what will be the final meeting at Prestbury Park ahead of this year’s Cheltenham Festival, a high-quality eight-race card is scheduled from 12:15-16:15, with the feature race being the Grade Two Welsh Marches Stallions At Chapel Stud Cleeve Hurdle at 15:05.

That race will see several Festival hopefuls go head-to-head, including Champ (1/2), who was a top-level winner in the Long Walk at Ascot last month for trainer Nicky Henderson, and Paisley Park (6/1), who will be chasing a hat-trick of Cleeve Hurdle successes in the colours of Emma Lavelle.

The Cleeve Hurdle is one of four Grade Two races on the card at Cheltenham, while the opening Handicap at 12:15 will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion and the Grade Three Handicap Chase at 13:55 will see their ‘Super Extra Place’ offer come into play.

Away from Cheltenham, and Saturday’s action will begin across the Irish Sea at Fairyhouse where an eight-race card will go from 12:00-16:00.

That card will be highlighted by the Grade Three Mares Novice Hurdle at 13:40, while Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offer will again be available for the races at 13:05 and 16:00.

Racing at Uttoxeter will go between 12:08-16:08, with a total of eight races taking place at the Staffordshire track, and again Betfred will be offering their ‘Extra Place’ promotion for both the 13:48 and 16:08.

Doncaster’s seven races from 12:25-15:55 will be highlighted by a trio of Grade Two races and the Listed Sky Bet Chase at 15:20 where Nicky Henderson could once again have a major contender in Fusil Raffles (11/2).

That race is another that will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Super Extra Place’ promotion, meaning they will be paying out on the first six finishers, while the races at 12:25, 13:00 and 14:45 will see the ‘Extra Place’ offer come into play.

The first of the day’s all-weather action will come from Lingfield between 12:52-16:23, with Betfred’s ‘Free Bet if 2nd’ promotion available for the opener of what will be a seven-race card.

Kempton’s seven-race all-weather offering will then conclude the day from 16:30-19:35, and Betfred will not be leaving this meeting out, as the ‘Extra Place’ promotion will be available for the races at 16:30 and 18:00.
