US Racing Odds: Saturday 19th February

There are a total of nine race meetings to look forward to across the United States on Saturday, highlighted by a pair of Grade Three contests at Laurel Park.

The action will get underway with a double-header in Florida, first of all from Gulfstream where a bumper 12-race card will take place from 17:00-22:43, while Tampa Bay Downs will showcase 10 races between 17:13-21:53.

Our attention will then turn to Laurel Park’s 10-race card from 17:25-22:16 where seven of the races on show will benefit from Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ promotion, including the Grade Three General George Stakes at 21:45 where Cordmaker (4/5) is expected to run well off the back of three consecutive wins in stakes company.

The other Grade Three on offer from Laurel Park will be the Barbara Fritchie Fillies Stakes at 21:14 where Glass Ceiling (11/10) will be looking to break new ground by sealing a third-straight win.

Aqueduct’s nine-race card will take centre stage in New York, with the action there set to get underway at 17:50 and conclude at 22:01, with Betfred’s ‘Extra Place’ offering again coming into play for the races at 18:20 and 20:23.

Further south in Louisiana and Delta Downs will showcase nine races from 19:25-23:17, before the first of the day’s two meetings from California will take place at Santa Anita between 19:25-23:17.

The highlight of that nine-race card could well be the 22:05 Starter Optional Claiming, as Betfred’s ‘ Extra Place’ offer will again be available for a 6f sprint where Con On The Run (6/4) could prove the one to beat.

The second of the offerings from California will be Golden Gate Fields’ nine-race card from 20:45-01:00, while the penultimate meeting of the day will get underway during the early hours of Sunday morning, with Charles Town’s eight-race offering going from 00:00-03:32.

Sam Houston Race Park will then round off the day’s action with a nine-race card set to take place in Texas from 00:55-04:44.
